PNB MetLife’s CSR initiative - Damini is in line with its overall brand ethos - ‘Milkar Life Aage Badhayein’ and focuses on creating intervention across various life stages from Girl Child to Women. As part of this endeavor to aid and stand-by in all the life-stages of women, the Company has partnered with different NGOs catering to different issues, under the single-umbrella of ‘Damini’.
Under this initiative, the Company supports -
- Girl Child Education: PNB MetLife supports the education of 2300+ children at Moga (Punjab) and Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) under this initiative
- Women Empowerment or ‘Sakhi Swavalamban’ program: Under this program, the Company aids in conducting skill development training and financial literacy awareness programs to close to 750 women from 80 villages across the Varanasi district. Besides, the Company has recently inaugurated ‘Sakhi Livelihood Center’ at Varanasi, which serves as a counselling cum training hub for engaging in promotions, sales and marketing of Rural products.
- Awareness on Sanitation and Personal Hygiene: Under this program, the Company conducts awareness programs on menstrual health and hygiene among 6000 women across Kolar (Karnataka) and Udaipur (Rajasthan)
