COVID-19 Information – FAQ’s on Claims

In this hour of need due to the outbreak of COVID-19 PNB MetLife India Insurance Company (PMLI) is committed to extend support to our policy holders and their families affected by this Pandemic.

How can I intimate a COVID-19 claim for the policy?

You can intimate a claim by submitting signed Claim Intimation Letter mentioning the Policy number, brief of the insured event and other claim documents and write us at or along with other supporting claim documents or call us at 1800-425-6969 in case of any claims queries

In case of unfortunate death due to COVID-19, the claimant can submit basic claim documents:

  1. Claim Intimation Letter mentioning the policy number, brief of the insured event and other claim documents 
  2. Copy of death certificate issued by local municipal authority, 
  3. Policy document
  4. Bank account proof and KYC documents of the claimant.

PMLI will always stand by you and your loved ones when you need us the most. All our life insurance policies cover death due to any cause including COVID-19. There is no exclusion for death claim due to COVID-19*.

For Health Claim- Fixed benefits payable on diagnosis of specified Illnesses under our ^Benefit based Health products and Health Riders (Critical Illness or Serious Illness) doesn’t cover diagnosis of COVID-19*. ^ PNB MetLife Mera Heart and Cancer Care, MetLife Major Illness Premium Back Cover.

The death benefit as per the policy contract will be payable in the bank account details provided by you post acceptance of the claim under prompt intimation to you.
