14 startups pitched Fintech solutions related to expanding distribution reach for digital lending, improving efficiency and developing new digital product proposition
Mumbai, July 22, 2019: PNB MetLife, one of the top 10 private life insurance companies in India (fiscal 2018, Source - CRISIL), hosted the first day of Mumbai Fintech Week at their Corporate Office in Goregaon on 22nd July 2019. This initiative is a part of the Company’s tie-up with The Fintech Meetup , a convention of startup founders and other stakeholders, for the program – “Fintech Yatra”. The Mumbai edition of Fintech Yatra is scheduled from 22nd – 26th July and will be held in the offices of five Fintech Meetup partners. Today, 11 startups pitched their solutions to PNB MetLife related to expanding distribution reach for digital lending, improving efficiency and developing new digital product proposition.
The Fintech Yatra is a collaboration aimed at understanding the fintech startup ecosystem of India, their challenges, providing insight on their outreach efforts, and providing them a platform to effectively market their solutions . The epic Yatra will cover 10,000 km journey spanning across 17 cities of India aimed at understanding and leveraging opportunities in the technology space including artificial intelligence/machine learning, blockchain, data sciences, IOT, robotic process application, and computational linguistics, etc. offered by these startups.

In 2018, Fintech Yatra was flagged off by Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, from Mumbai, which covered 10,000 Kms in 50 days spanning across 14 cities and 500 startups such as Finlok, HuePay, Bon, Crelytics and many others, participated in the event.
This year’s Fintech Yatra will cover 17 cities across the Country.
