Vijayalakshmi Natarajan is the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer  at PNB MetLife.

With over three decades of experience in various fields of life insurance, she possesses hands on experience and expertise in building and nurturing a robust risk and compliance management framework. At PNB MetLife, she is responsible for overseeing and managing enterprise compliance efforts, enterprise risk management framework, designing and implementing internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws. She also oversees and manages the Fraud Control Unit (FCU), Government Relations (GR) and Internal Financial Controls (IFC) monitoring efforts of the Company.

Her background and wealth of knowledge in life insurance operations with various information technology and digital transformation initiatives helps her optimize customer & distribution experience with information & cyber security focus for better risk to reward balanced business decisions in the organization.

Vijayalakshmi is a certified cost accountant and a fellow of the Insurance Institute of India & Academy of Life Underwriting, specializing in Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management.

She embarked on her career at the Life Insurance Corporation of India before moving on to be one of the founding members of SBI Life. Prior to joining PNB MetLife, she was associated with Aviva Life Insurance.
