Approved by BAI and to be organised under the auspices of (Delhi Capital Badminton Association))
More than 1200 entries received from across the country)
Rs 3 lakhs of prize money to be given to winners-runners up and others as per BAI norms)
This comes after the successful completion of PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship‚ and shows the commitment of PNB MetLife and Sara Foundation to nurture talent in badminton)
New Delhi‚ June 22‚ 2015: PNB MetLife‚ one of India’s leading life insurance companies kicked off yet another initiative to promote and nurture talent in badminton with the prestigious PNB MetLife Chaaji Memorial All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2015. The tournament will be played under two categories - under 13 & 15 boys and girls (Singles and Doubles). Total of 8 events will be played in the tournament and more than 1200 entries have been received from all over India. This is being organised by SARA FOUNDATION (a leading organisation to promote sports in the country) at the Thyagraj Stadium‚ Delhi.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar‚ Organising Secretary of the Tournament said‚ “We are prepared to organise this prestigious tournament here in New Delhi. I am delighted to share that we have received more than 1200 entries from almost all states of the country. The qualifying rounds will start from 22nd June and continue till 24th June 2015. The main draw will start from 25th June and final of the competition will take place on 27th June 2015. Jyant Rana and Aakash Yadav have been given top seed in Boys singles under 13 and 15 respectively. In the girl’s category Gayatri Gopichand Pullela and Aakarshi Kashyap have been given top seed in under 13 and 15 singles category. There is Rs 3 lakhs of prize money for the category wise winners‚ runners up and others as per norms of (Badminton Association of India) BAI.″

PNB MetLife and SARA FOUNDATION recently concluded the most popular ‘PNB MetLife Junior Badminton Championship’ (JBC) that was organized across India and successfully recognized and rewarded potential talent. Players under age group of 9‚ 11‚ 13 and 15 played from each zone (north‚ west‚ east and south) and fought for the coveted title of being the National Champion. The initiative generated enormous excitement at the national level that was further validated with more than 3000 entries received for participation. PNB MetLife provided the 8 national winners with scholarships for further training in reputed Badminton academies.
