Speaking about the tournament, Balachander Sekhar, Chief Marketing Officer at PNB MetLife said "Badminton is amongst the fastest growing sports in the world and has traditionally been a popular sport in India. Through MetLife's global partnership with Badminton World Federation (BWF), we have the opportunity to bring the sport back to its status as a fun, family sport. Diversity is also a key value of PNB MetLife's culture, and badminton is an inclusive sport that appeals to both genders and all age groups and nationalities.”

He added, “In today's hectic times, family interactions have been reduced to spending time in front of the TV, sitting together in the family room glued to mobile devices, or simply eating dinner together.
